Ethiopia (Tigrai Tribalists) failed to embrace the Millennium Development Goals
In general, new economies are expected to grow faster than those that are already matured. But Ethiopia’s economy under the corrupt tribal gangsters is an exception. The U.N. Deputy Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migiro also said that Ethiopia (the regime of the Tigrai Tribalists ) has failed to successfully embrace the Millennium Development Goals, a U.N. the fuzzy numbers Zenawi and his tribal cronies have been manufacturing about the economic growth was fabricated. The U.N. Deputy Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migiro reported today that Ethiopia’s 2009 economic growth is expected to be just 1.7 percent.
According to the Health Service Development Plan (HSDP) joint UNDP and Ministry of Heath report of 2005, the per capita health service expenditure of Ethiopia is rated at 5.9 US dollars, the least among a list of other developing countries such as Kenya (31 USD), Uganda(18 USD), and Tanzania(8 USD). The report also indicated that in order to meet MDGs Ethiopia needs to increase the health service expenditure to 34 USD.
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were to be achieved by 2015 to t respond to the world’s main development challenges. The Goals are intended to promote human development as the key to sustaining social and economic progress in all countries.
The eight MDGs indicators are: .
- Goal 1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Goal 2: Achieve universal primary education
- Goal 3: Promote gender equality and empower women
- Goal 4: Reduce child mortality
- Goal 5: Improve maternal health
- Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability
- Goal 8: Develop a Global Partnership for Development
