New Film: Rarely Seen White House Photos

New York (TADIAS) – Some rarely-seen chronological images from a Kennedy White House years, display a President and First Lady hosting Emperor Haile Selassie, are partial of an arriving documentary about Haramaya University, an rural technical college that was determined in 1956 in Ethiopia as a corner plan between a dual nations.

The film entitled Point Four borrows a name from President Harry Truman’s 1949 initial residence in that he announced a technical assistance module for building countries that after became famous as “The Point Four Program.” It was so named since it was a fourth unfamiliar process design summarized in a speech. The Point Four module resulted in America’s tighten partnership with Ethiopia in assisting to settle some of a country’s technical higher-education institutions.

Mel Tewahade, Denver-based writer of a film, pronounced he detected a photographs while conducting investigate for a Point Four documentary. “I ran into some extraordinary stuff, both stills and films,” Mr. Tewahade said. “We are regulating reduction than 5 percent of what we have collected. He added: “Some of a photos came from presidential libraries, others from a Library of Congress, and a rest from people and private collections. All of a Kennedy photos are enclosed in a film.”
