Eleni Gabre-Madhin & The TPLF Scam: Does Aaron Brown Know that He Has Become a TPLF Scam Enabler?

Hailay Tulu:

Eleni Zaude Gabre-Madhin, a tribal elite, who is currently a CEO  and the co-owner of  the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, will be interviewed by Aaron Brown in a PBS documentary on July 22nd 10pm EST.

Gabre-Madhin is reportedly a Tigrean by tribe and a very close friend and supporter of the war criminals and part of the corruption related crimes in Ethiopia. Eleni Gabre Madhin and her foreign currency strapped bosses   currently control  the export of coffee which contributes for about  30-40% of the country’s export earnings.

As before Eleni Gabre-Madhin is expected to misinform the American public about democracy and the economic progress in Ethiopia despite the overgrowing corruption, nepotism, widespread poverty, social, political and health problems.

Ethiopian living in DC metro  are anticipated to denounce  Eleni Gabre-Madhin  , a member of the tribal rulers of Ethiopia,  at the Film screening  on Friday, July 24th at the Four Points by Sheraton in Washington DC (12th & K).

    Selam all,

This is something to watch with a lot of reservation. Graduating from a known University or Working for the World Bank does not necessarily mean a high standard of integrity or honesty. We have seen the US financial system managed by ivy league graduates go into bankruptcy and financial disaster because of unbound greed and thievery.

In Ethiopia were the land is own by the state and farmers are at best mere tenants, and the major trading companies, banks, transportation, export-import companies, import and distribution of fertilizers, are owned by the ruling party, and foreign exchange is controlled by the state, communications is state monopoly, how a free commodity exchange can operate ? Is obviously another TPLF/Foreign Aid miracle.

A few months ago merchants and exporters of coffee were accused of hoarding and their goods were confiscated by the regime, and eventually exported by the Commodity Exchange, who now has the sole right to export coffee and any other commodities at its own price. It is no secret either that merchants, particularly belonging to certain ethnic groups, have been persecuted for evading taxes and all sorts of other crimes.

The documentary is no more than another piece of propaganda produced to hoodwink the US puplic and the Diaspora community. (Enqoqlish, hod siyawq doro mata)

PBS should be very careful and discerning before broadcasting such, however it might look genuine at a first glance. It wouldn’t hurt to write a well documented letter to PBS.

Most Ethiopians living in DC are collection of good people who will not be a tool for Tigrean tirbalists and pigs who live to eat and defaecate.

It is no surprise, Hitler, Mussoloni, Stalin and all tyrants had also supporters and admirers like ELENI. She is cooperating in the economic killing of Ethiopia and build up of Greater Tigrai

It amazes me to read comments written by people that are most probably not even lifting their little finger to come up with any solution for the long standing problems of Africa, nevertheless thir tongue is very quick to unlesh a criticizing comment. I am neither a suporter of Meles nor a Tigrayan for that matter, But lets give some recognition to people that r trying to make a diffrence!!!

  • Abi

What did you do with your fingers Mrs NJ? Did you raise your little fingers against greed machinery which is killing millions of Ethiopians?

Well you may have used your fingers to put an Obama sticker on your hind…

Unfortunately, we don’t agree with your “Passive Collaborator Like” statement about the enabler Eleni .

Like Eleni, the Italian Fascists did built many things …………….Hitler did built many things in Germany ….

Should we thank the former enablers (Bandas) since their masters did great services……to Ethiopia….build road, industry, Hospitals etc.?

  • ToTit

I might not have lifted my fingers to help the millions that are starving ( or I might have…for all u know )…But I am not pointing fingers at the ones that r trying to make a difference neither…Yes Eleni is from the north by birth…So does that put her automatically in the ruling party…[ there is no ruling party, lady, there are ruling thugs...] .As far as I am concerned she has used her well deserved postion ( after all she worked hard to aquire that title Doctor of philosophy….[ again, for your information, you may get a PhD too.....unless you are.....] to help the many voiceless farmers that r being exploited by food brokers that are fattening their bank account at the expense of the poor farmer….Eleni is neither a politician nor an enabler….Why not give credit when one is deserved….why not acknowledge once hard work, just because of a birth place….We are so blinded [you may sound blinded ....not those you are accusing for standing against the co-thugs ]but also by politics we dont even know when we r practicing the rulling party main agenda….divide and conquer [ that does not mean to embrace enablers ]and advance the ethnicity sink hole…we are quick to condemn it but practice it religiously

Eleni’s is rhetoric about economic development to advance her Tribalist agenda in the face of overwhelming problem (social, economical and political is the worst kind of intellectual dishonesty a PhD from somewhere will do and some ignorant PBS folks do for the sake of sensational journalism.

The FERENJIS and their likes who applaud intellectual dishonesty are ignorant and do not appear to understand the situation in Ethiopia.
